Leadership Bios

Mark H. Awh, M.D. – President

Mark H. Awh, M.D. is a founder of Radsource and a leading authority on Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR). Dr. Awh is well known for his expertise in musculoskeletal MR and provides numerous lectures on the subject at national radiology meetings. He has co-authored a textbook on magnetic resonance imaging of the spine as well as book chapters on musculoskeletal MR and articular cartilage. In addition to his experience in musculoskeletal imaging, Dr. Awh is well versed in neurological and body MR. Dr. Awh holds the Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology from the American Board of Radiology.

Dr. Awh completed his undergraduate studies in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Following medical school at the University of Mississippi, he performed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Chicago. Dr. Awh then completed fellowship training in MRI at the University of Kentucky Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Spectroscopy Center.

Prior to founding Radsource, Dr. Awh served as Director of Magnetic Resonance Imaging at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee and as President of one of the largest radiology private practices in the nation. Dr. Awh has been instrumental in the development and operation of multiple imaging centers and clinic-based radiology projects.

 

Michael E. Stadnick, M.D. – Medical Director

Michael E. Stadnick, M.D. is a founding member of Radsource. Before joining Radsource, Dr. Stadnick established himself as a successful and respected radiologist specializing in musculoskeletal MR.

Dr. Stadnick is a board-certified radiologist who received his residency training at SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse. Following his residency, Dr. Stadnick was invited to remain as assistant professor in the musculoskeletal radiology section where he became a valued clinical consultant and instructor, and gained extensive practical clinical experience during a six-year stay. Dr. Stadnick then entered private practice in Nashville, Tennessee where his expertise in musculoskeletal MR was instrumental in establishing an extremely successful MR practice during his four-year tenure.

Dr. Stadnick’s previous clinical responsibilities include Medical Director for various MR facilities and Director of Musculoskeletal Imaging at St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville, Tennessee. He recently co-authored book chapters on musculoskeletal MR and articular cartilage and has multiple articles to his credit. An accomplished artist, Dr. Stadnick has recently focused his talents on the field of medical illustration. His work has been featured in numerous presentations, articles and in musculoskeletal MR textbooks.

 

Jeffrey W. Carden – Chief Operating Officer

Jeffrey W. Carden comes to Radsource with more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare delivery industry. Before joining Radsource, Mr. Carden served in the capacity of Director of Information Technologies before being elevated to Chief Information Officer for a $150M physician services and ambulatory surgery center (ASC) company. The technologies and processes required to successfully manage physician practices, ASCs, and imaging centers were directly accountable to Mr. Carden during his tenure.

Previous experience includes the position of CIO for Nashville-based Health Advantage Network, a PPO company, as well as time with HealthTrust, the Hospital Company. In addition, his extensive experience in the specialty field of Orthopaedics makes him well suited to help guide Radsource. Mr. Carden received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Lipscomb University.

 

Jaclyn Carney – Senior Director, Business Development

Jaclyn Carney joined the Radsource team after several years of successful experience with both Medtronic Sofamor Danek and Orthofix, Inc. Her experience as a spinal and orthopedic device sales representative gives her the breadth of knowledge required to understand and appreciate the inner workings of the medical practices and their need for quality imaging services. Her knowledge and work ethic are a great asset that help Radsource remain the gold standard within the industry as it brings its specialized radiology services to new clients.

Jaclyn graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in the Communication of Science and a Minor in Medical Ethics. She completed her Masters in Business Administration from the Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business at Belmont University.

 

 

Al Azmitia – Senior Director, Product Development

Al Azmitia focuses his efforts, experience and industry knowledge on the development of PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), Radiology Information System (RIS), and Electronic Health Record (EHR), including the integration and support of these products for physician practices and imaging providers.

Mr. Azmitia brings over 30 years of diverse information technology experience to Radsource, which includes 18 years of progressive leadership roles and responsibilities in the healthcare industry while working for successful and growing companies such as Community Health Systems, Ardent Health Services, iPractice Group and Anthem Healthcare Intelligence.

He has also worked as an independent consultant performing services in program and project management, architecture design, process improvement, contract negotiation and financial analysis for healthcare provider companies. Mr. Azmitia holds a Masters in Business Administration from Jones International University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering Technology from Southern Illinois University.
